Marlo Pascual by Marlo Pascual
Published by Hassla (2014)
Taking found imagery and film as a point of departure in her work, Marlo Pascual creates photo-based sculptures, installations and images. For the foundation of her first book, Pascual uses repetition to trace an image’s transformation between mediums as it moves from found image, to collage, to object, to installation, and then back into a book form. This approach explores the flexibility of the image as an overlapping representation that fluctuates between a plurality of forms, offering insight into the complexities of pictorial construction.
